Why You Shouldn’t Buy Anything Made In China

Most of us have a number of things in our houses and
businesses that were made in China. We most likely bought
these items because they were cheaper than other
manufactured goods from around the world, including items
made in America.

These are tough economic times and families are struggling
to pay their bills and other living expenses. If one item is $10
cheaper than another, that $10 can be spent on something
else. Everybody, including me, loves a bargain.

But there is increasing evidence that the Chinese don’t play fair
(currency manipulation is just one example) and that they also
seem to engage in making deliberately toxic products.

Some of the toxic products shipped to the United States
include hazardous cardiograph machines, cosmetics, pet
medicine, diet drugs, orthodontic parts, surgical bandages,
frozen spinach, asparagus and candy. In the month of April,
this year, the FDA issued 197 import refusals on Chinese
goods.

Here is the reason for the issuance of refusal on a container
of fish:

"This article appears to consist, in whole or in part, of a filthy,
putrid, or decomposed substance, or be otherwise unfit for food."

This doesn’t guarantee that the product won’t reach the
distribution chain. Corrupt Chinese merchants will often
relabel a container and try and pass it through another port.

In February of this year, a research team from Thomas Jefferson
University Hospital, in Philadelphia, tested Chinese products for
lead. Among the products tested were ceramic plates, bowls,
teacups and silverware, being sold in Philadelphia. They tested
products from Philadelphia’s Chinatown and from suburban
department stores.

25% of the products tested were lead positive.

Dr. Gerald O’Malley, a toxicologist who spearheaded the study,
said this: "We were astounded…astounded…to find so many of
the products positive for lead." O’Malley warned that lead in
Chinese products presents a very serious health threat.

The most outrageous aspect of toxic trade is the thousands
of contaminated toys that are shipped abroad and end up in the
hands of unsuspecting kids. In 2008, Healthytoys.com found
that 21% of toys made in China contained detectable levels
of lead.

In 2009, Mr. Squiggles, a stuffed hamster toy, for kids three
years and older, made by Zhu-Zhu Pets, and one of the most
popular gifts that year, was found to contain a cancer causing
metallic compound called antimony.

In 2011, Tween Brands Inc. recalled 137,000 pieces of jewelry,
marketed to kids, that contained dangerously high levels of cadmium,
a metallic element that can cause cancer, as well as damage to
the liver and bones. The state of California limits cadmium to a
tiny 0.03 per cent. The recalled Chinese product had cadmium
levels as high as 69 per cent.

In the past few years, toxic Chinese products sold to American
kids have included dolls, toy trucks, Elmo, Big Bird, Dora the Explorer,
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, the Princess and the Frog, and
Best Friends bracelets.

This just the tip of the iceberg.

Chinese food products are overwhelming the marketplace, yet
consumer safety groups have found them to be full of illegal
antibiotics, pesticides, carcinogens and bacteria.

Foods to stay away from are fruits, mushrooms, apples, seafood,
apple juice, tilapia, cod and spinach, as well as dog and cat food.

It’s an easy decision for me. If the label says it was made in China,
I’m not buying it, no matter how much cheaper it is. Let them drown
in the crap they’re making.

Much of the world’s fish oil is manufactured and bottled, in China
and India, where there are no discernable standards that anyone
can point to. The Chinese will cut any corner…or any throat…to get
ahead. That cheap supplement you see on the shelves of big box
stores and in grocery and drug store chains, was probably made
there.

That’s why you should be buying my pharmaceutical grade
Powerhouse Omega Formula. There is a huge difference between
pharmaceutical grade and food grade, which is what is being
sold in most outlets, here.

I’m not taking any chances on Chinese made fish oil, which
probably has more toxins than a Russian nuclear plant and you
shouldn’t either.

And they can keep the rest of their junk, too.

With my best wishes for your optimum health,
