Ten Foods That Are Crucial For Men

Let’s face facts here, most men are very poor eaters. That doesn’t mean that they don’t consume their fair share of grub…and more. The truth is that men consume way too much of what isn’t good for them, such as burgers, fries, dogs, donuts, beer, soda, and a list that could go on and on.  According to Jennifer Smith at MedGuru, here is what you (MEN) should be eating:

1.  Bananas.  Bananas are a great source of quick energy. They are rich in potassium, which is essential to regulate nerves, heartbeat, and blood pressure. Diets rich in potassium and magnesium (also found in bananas) can reduce the risk of stroke.

2.  Berries.  All kinds, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries…contain almost 4000 different compounds with antioxidant properties, beyond Vitamin C. You absolutely need these compounds in your diet to stay healthy.

3.  Broccoli.  George Bush 41′s favorite vegetable. Broccoli is essential to preventing heart disease and cancer.

4.  Brazil nuts.  These nuts are powerful antioxidants which contain magnesium and selenium. They help prevent heart disease, cancer, and protect the old prostate. They also help lower bad cholesterol, and reduce the incidence of abnormal blood clots.

5.  Lentils.  Lentils are high in protein and fiber, and provide long lasting energy. They are also high in B Vitamins.

6.  Oysters.  Oysters are very high in zinc, a mineral antioxidant involved in numerous body processes.

7.  Vegetables.  If you don’t eat vegetables, you run a much higher risk of prostate problems.

8.  Salmon.  Salmon has high protein, high Vitamin D, and high omega 3 fatty acid content, all of which are essential to maintaining a healthy heart.

9.  Soybeans.  Soybeans are packed with isoflavones, which insure prostate health and lower the risk of prostate cancer. They are also a good source of protein and amino acids.

10.  Whole grains.  Whole grains are rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals and are required to build muscle. The ability to build muscle helps keep the gut muscles from becoming the Goodyear Blimp.

I can already hear the first complaint, which is: I don’t like fish. You can solve that problem by taking my fish-odor free, lemon scented, Powerhouse Omega Formula, an enteric coated, ultra pure, deep water, pharmaceutical grade fish oil, which solves the ticklish problem of sliding oysters doused with hot sauce and lemon down your throat. And if you can’t stand any kind of seafood, like many of my friends, it solves that problem too.

Remember, you don’t have to eat these things every day, but you do need to include them in your diet. And I wouldn’t be helping if I didn’t remind you to stop putting all that crap in your piehole on a regular basis. It’s not how much you you eat…it’s what you eat…that determines your health.
