Since the inception of Favorite Formulas, we have focused almost exclusively on what can be done to benefit the heart. We have four products in production now, and one more coming, in what will become the Ultimate Heart Insurance Package.

Surveys that we’ve done indicate that the top priority among all our subscribers, after the heart, is the brain, and that they would like products that help with improving brain function, memory loss, help prevent Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia. This is also a huge priority among the partners, who have first-hand experience with Alzheimer’s in their families, and who have seen the effects of the disease, up close and personal.

Alzheimer’s is a disease that is skyrocketing all over the world, but particularly in the highly industrialized world. The cost of Alzheimer’s in the United States alone is well over $100 billion dollars annually, and it’s rising every year.

There is some good news here, and it comes from three different continents. Studies done at King’s College in London, the Dutch National Health Institute, and the University of North Carolina, all show that the consumption of omega-3 fatty acids can prevent age-related cognitive decline.

Emiliano Albanese, the head of the research team from King’s College states: “We showed for the very first time a statistically significant trend toward a lower prevalence of dementia among those with a higher dietary fish intake in large population based samples of older people living in five countries in Latin America, China, and India.

Our results extend findings on the associations of of fish consumption with dementia risk to populations in low and middle income countries and are consistent with mechanistic data on the neuroprotective omega-3 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids commonly found in fish.”

Let me translate that:

Consuming an ultra pure pharmaceutical grade fish oil may reduce your chances of contracting Alzheimer’s and dementia by 20%. The three universities are actively engaged in continuing this study, with respect to brain health, and say they will have much to report in the future.

This study was the largest ever undertaken, and involved over 15,000 people on three continents.

The bottom line is this: The more omega-3′s you get in your diet, the better off you are.

The researchers focused their study on the brain, because all other studies had previously focused on cardiovascular health, with good results.

It wouldn’t surprise me if, before all this research is completed, we will have definitive proof that fish oil is one of the greatest preventatives ever developed.
