Fish Oil Helps With Degenerative Arthritis
Posted: February 18th, 2012 | Author: Dr. Bill Stillwell | No Comments »27 million people in the U.S. suffer from degenerative arthritis,
which is also called osteoarthritis. The disease is caused by
wear and tear on the joints, and often affects the weight bearing
articulations, such as the knees and hips, but it can also affect the
wrists, feet and spine.
Degenerative arthritis can occur in any joint in the body; it’s an
equal opportunity inflamer. The joints become painful when the
bone cartilage that protects the joints erodes away, exposing the
bone, which causes friction and damage. This causes unpleasant
pain, stiffness, swelling and a loss of mobility.
Heat, cold, humidity and other weather related factors can increase
the severity of the symptoms. A good number of patients who suffer
from degenerative arthritis may eventually need joint replacement
surgery to reduce disability, alleviate pain and have a better quality
of life. Before my accident, this was how I made my living.
My Powerhouse Omega Formula can, and should, be used by
anyone suffering from degenerative arthritis, to help relieve the
inflammation and the resulting pain and stiffness in the joints.
A recent double blind clinical trial in Australia, with several hundred
participants between the ages of 40 and 60, found that there was a
clinically important improvement in the pain levels and disability of
the participants, after 3 months of taking fish oil.
Currently, about 80% of degenerative arthritis sufferers rely heavily
on NSAIDS (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) such as Aleve,
Advil, Motrin, etc.,to reduce their suffering. The downside of this is that
prolonged use of NSAIDS can harm the lining of the stomach. Long
time use of my Powerhouse Omega Formula can reduce the need
for NSAIDS, as well as improve your general health.
